From the evening of September 6 to the morning of the 7th, Russia launched the largest drone air strike on Ukraine. In addition to the attacks on several military targets, a government building in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine also caught fire.

Ukraine claimed that this was a "serious escalation" of the conflict with Russia and Ukraine, and the outside world still has this view, that is, Russia's trip was a tough statement on the 26 Western countries' preparation to send troops to Ukraine.
This has led to the recent expectation of peace that the two sides are about to reach a ceasefire and has suddenly turned into serious concerns that the war may escalate.
On September 4, the "Voluntary Alliance Summit for Ukraine" just ended, French President Macron publicly announced: 26 countries mainly including European countries will deploy ground, sea and air forces to Ukraine under the framework of a ceasefire or peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine to ensure Ukraine's security.
Although Macron did not disclose the size and deployment details of the force, and the United States has not made a clear statement on this, Zelensky welcomed the decision.

At the same time, Zelensky also stated that he could meet Putin if necessary. But he rejected the proposal of Russia to meet in Moscow and made it clear that Ukraine did not see Russia having the will to end the conflict.
Putin responded to the resolution to deploy foreign troops the next day.
He stated: If Western countries send troops to Ukraine before reaching a peace agreement, these troops will become "legal targets of attack" by the Russian army.
In addition, Putin also stated that if Russia and Ukraine can reach a long-term peace decision, then there is no need for Western countries to stay in Ukraine.
Putin's meaning is clear, Russia will not accept that Ukraine's territory has troops from other countries. Moreover, Putin believes that there are still many legal and technical difficulties with Ukraine on territorial issues to be resolved, and it is too early to reach an agreement.

Since then, Russian President's press secretary Peskov once again emphasized that Russia will never accept the proposals of European leaders. Whether it is international troops, foreign troops, or NATO troops, as long as they appear on Ukrainian territory or near the Russian-Ukrainian border, they will be regarded as a threat by Russia.
After the warning, the Russian army used more than 800 long-range drones and 13 Iskander missiles on September 6 and 7 to carry out air strikes on many drone production and storage facilities and other targets in central, southern, eastern Ukraine and other regions.
According to the post-disclosure notice from Ukraine, as of 8:30 am on the 7th, Ukrainian air defense forces and electronic warfare units have successfully intercepted 747 drones and 4 Iskander missiles. Nine missiles and 56 drones hit 37 locations, and their debris also affected 8 locations.

The Ukrainian government building located in Kiev was hit by the wreckage of this incoming drone that caused the building to catch fire. Because the attack caused the first damage to government buildings due to war, Ukraine attached great importance to the matter and issued a severe condemnation to Russia.
The author believes that the reason why Russia launched such a large-scale air strike is not only the meaning of warning Western countries to reduce intervention, but also the significance of implying the impact of the Ukrainian military industrial system in the future.
From the Russian air strike targets the factory facilities in which the assembly, maintenance and storage of Ukraine are mainly targeting factories and facilities in various parts of Ukraine, Russia is clearly alert to the Ukrainian military-industrial system's drone production advantages.

In order to break the front-line deadlock, increase the bargaining chips for the upcoming negotiations, and timely weaken Ukraine's drone production capacity, Russia must increase the intensity and number of attacks on Ukraine in the near future, in order to disintegrate the morale and will of the other side's military and civilians.
At the same time, Russia will also show its willingness to negotiate to the Western countries and the international community in order to put psychological pressure on European and American leaders and Zelensky, causing them to fall into internal conflicts of peace and war.
Perhaps from now on, such a method of expressing diplomatic toughness first and then high-intensity military targeted attack will become the norm for Russia in this war.
In fact, at this point the Russian-Ukraine War was no longer a simple military contest on the battlefield, but a war of attrition that included everything in front of and behind the scenes of the two countries, as well as the will of the whole people.

According to media reports, the attack alone caused 2 deaths and 18 injuries in Kiev.
If it is really as I imagined, the Russian army will frequently launch such large-scale military attacks from now on. So, it is really unbearable to imagine how much losses and pain the Ukrainian people have to bear.
But the cruelest moment of war is often when it is about to end. Because both parties will do their best at this time to give the other party an unbearable blow.
