Shenzhou 21 is about to be launched, and the list of space crews is naturally a concern for many people. Moreover, depending on the previous work arrangements, whether there will be female astronauts as commanders this time is also the focus of hot discussion in society. After all, since the space station was built, male astronauts have basically led the flight mission.

Yang Liwei has never performed a flight mission since he landed in 2003. I wonder if he will be there this year. Although he has not performed a flight mission, he has been shining for my country's aerospace industry. Although he has retired, he is also the deputy chief designer of manned space engineering in my country.

In fact, whether it is a male commander or a female commander, gender has never been the first factor in screening aerospace crew members, because there are also top female astronauts in our country, which is not inferior to men at all. For example, Wang Yaping, who has performed two flight missions, completed the "space teaching" for the first time in 2013, with Nie Haisheng and Zhang Xiaoguang.

In 2021, she once again became a "space teacher" with Zhai Zhigang and Ye Guangfu, and set a world record for the duration of a single cabin.

And Wang Haoze, who had performed a flight mission on October 20, 2024, successfully met with Shenzhou No. 18 astronauts Ye Guangfu, Li Cong and Li Guangsu in space. This is also the fifth successful meeting in the history of aerospace.

Although she is still young compared to other astronauts, her super psychological quality and professional skills have also allowed her to complete the mission of aerial flight successfully and won the third-level space merit medal. She is not only a senior aerospace engineer, but also the third female astronaut in my country to perform flight missions, and her ability should not be underestimated.

In fact, the selection of astronauts is an extremely complicated task, and the same is true for choosing a suitable command length.

As long as the mission can be completed, both men and women are all "hero astronauts" of our country. Therefore, there is no need to think too much about whether Shenzhou 21 has female commands. The country has its own decisions, and I believe that no matter who it is, the mission will be completed successfully.

Aerospace business

The journey of development of my country's aerospace industry is long and full of hope. From the Shenzhou to the Chang'e today, Shenzhou 21 will be launched at the end of October. Our astronauts have continued to write legends with their perseverance.

In 2003, my country became the third country in the world to carry out manned space activities. The "space hero" Yang Liwei took an important step in my country's aerospace industry. Every time the spacecraft successfully boards the airplane, the efforts and expectations of countless people are embodied behind it, laying a solid foundation for our future aerospace industry.

Aerospace technology continues to develop, the space space station is successfully built, Tiangong-1 was successfully launched and then docked with Shenzhou-10, achieving a major breakthrough in aerospace technology.

The story of "Chang'e Flying to the Moon" has always been a beautiful myth in the hearts of our people. With the continuous development of my country's aerospace technology, this story has been transformed from an unrealized myth to a reality. The launch of Chang'e has allowed my country to achieve a major event in soft landing on the moon and to detect the back of the moon.

On April 24, 2025, three experienced astronauts, Chen Dong, Chen Zhongrui and Wang Jie, were identified as three people carrying out flight missions. Until now, the Shenzhou 20 spacecraft has been in space for more than 130 days and is expected to return to Earth after docking with the Shenzhou 21 spacecraft at the end of October.

Looking back at our aerospace industry, the footprints we have walked step by step are clearly visible. From the original Dongfanghong-1 to Shenzhou 21, each spacecraft carries the deep expectations of the Chinese people.

The release of the movie "Blue Star Outside the Window" has made many people unable to help but enter the cinema. This movie is more like a documentary, showing people the real scenes in the sky, which also allows many ordinary people who cannot enter space to truly feel the environment in the space capsule.

The Shenzhou 21 spacecraft is expected to be launched at the end of October. Although the crew has not yet been determined, according to the previous situation, Yang Liwei and Wang Yaping appeared at the parade on September 3rd. There are probably other astronauts carrying out the Shenzhou 21 mission.

Although Yang Liwei, Wang Yaping and Wang Haoze may not be a space mission, this does not mean that they have withdrawn from the aerospace industry. After all, my country's aerospace industry includes multiple fields and shines in other fields, which is also worthy of admiration.

Now, batches of outstanding astronauts in our country are constantly emerging. Everyone has gone through numerous tests and endured pain and pressure that others cannot bear. Every astronaut who can successfully perform flight missions is the best. For them, we can only bless and praise.
