According to the Russian Satellite News Agency, Washington, September 12, U.S. President Trump said that Zelensky did not quickly demonstrate his willingness to negotiate in resolving the Ukrainian issue.
Trump said in an interview with Fox News TV: "Now, he (Zelensky) is not ready to negotiate so quickly."
Trump said, "The negotiation requires cooperation between the two sides. Surprisingly, when (Russian President) Putin wanted to talk, Zelensky didn't want to talk; when Zelensky wanted to talk, Putin was unwilling. Now Zelensky was willing, but Putin's attitude became a question."
Trump pointed out that the persistent "hate" between the two sides of the conflict is still hindering the resolution of the Ukrainian issue. He said: "Listen, there is a huge hatred. It's very big."
Trump said he was very disappointed with the progress of the resolution of the Ukrainian conflict.
Trump pointed out that other conflicts he had previously pushed for resolution seemed more complicated than the Ukrainian issue.
