Five players from Dongguan went to the National Skills Competition, and international champion Chen Jiaxuan said "respectless"

The third Vocational Skills Competition of the People's Republic of China will kick off from September 19 to 23, 2025 in Zhengzhou, Henan. This competition is themed "Skills Light up the Future", with a total of 106 World Championship selection projects and national competition selection projects. The Guangdong Provincial Delegation will send 116 contestants to participate in the competition in all projects, of which 5 contestants from Dongguan City went to the competition, all from Dongguan Technician College, and will participate in the competition in the four projects of baking, sugar pastry production, equipment inspection and drone driving (plant protection).

These five players have their own characteristics: there are both newcomer Chen Jiaxuan, who just won the championship in the 53rd UIBC International Youth Baker Competition, and Xu Da, a young "veteran" who has been in the competition. Chen Jiaxuan will participate in the baking project, and his junior sister Ma Ziyi will compete in the sugar art pastry production project, while Shao Junhao will also participate in the baking project; the two teachers Xu Da and Wang Xingpeng will participate in the equipment inspection and selected projects of the drone driving (plant protection) national competition respectively.

For Xu Da and Wang Xingpeng, who participated in the national competition's excellent options, the goals were clear and firm. "There is no age limit for selected national competitions, and there are many strong players, but we believe in our strength more. At present, we strengthen our training to ensure normal performance during the competition and add more weight to winning the championship." Xu Da, who won the equipment inspection project of the 4th Guangdong Vocational Skills Competition this year, said.

The three players including Chen Jiaxuan have set the goal of maintaining the "ten-to-three", that is, to strive for the top ten in the competition and be selected into the national training team. It is worth mentioning that the partner who won the championship in the 53rd UIBC International Youth Baker Competition with Chen Jiaxuan, Zhejiang player Bao Jiaqian, will become Chen Jiaxuan's opponent in the same stage. "Although she is a girl and a former partner, I will never show mercy." Chen Jiaxuan smiled, her eyes full of confidence.

Wu Guangming, vice president of Dongguan Technician College, described the preparation status of the competition by "raising troops for a thousand days, using troops for a while": "During the entire summer vacation, all the players were actively preparing for the battle and gave up their rest. We have sufficient confidence, technical background and ability to achieve good results in the national competition."

At present, the five players are undergoing the final stage of sprint training. They will set off for Zhengzhou on the 17th of this month, striving to show the achievements and style of Dongguan's vocational education on the competitive stage representing the highest level in China's skills field.
