As Russia launches the largest air strike since the outbreak of the conflict, Trump has begun to reiterate second-level sanctions on Russia. According to several US government officials, on September 9 local time, Trump called the EU and asked the EU to impose 100% secondary tariffs on China and India. The official said Trump meant that the United States intends to do this, but the EU needs to do it first.

Trump: You guys go first
Second-level sanctions against Russia
Subsequently, this news was reproduced by many European media, and its credibility is still very high. Otherwise, what if Trump is a businessman, he would have made a fuss about tricking his allies into thunder. We all know that since Trump introduced the executive order of "reciprocal tariffs" in April this year, most countries and regions around the world have chosen to surrender, and the EU is one of them. In the trade agreement that the two sides have agreed, the EU will invest $600 billion in the United States and purchase energy products worth $750 billion.
This is undoubtedly a protection fee paid by the EU to the United States. But this is not the end. The EU is still responsible for supporting Ukraine and continuing to fight against Russia. It is reported that Ukrainian Prime Minister Sveridonko will visit Washington accompanied by several EU officials to discuss with the United States how to put pressure on Russia. She suggested that it would strike Russia's shadow fleet, oil refineries and gas exports.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Sveridenko
From Ukraine's perspective, if allies work together, Russia's war funds will be greatly reduced. But the problem is that the EU itself is buying Russian energy, especially natural gas. Let them punish Russia's energy exports be equivalent to cutting off their own cheap energy imports. It is not impossible to buy American energy, but with Trump's businessman character, the price of energy shipped by the United States must be several times that of Russian energy.
Who in Europe and the United States starts?
In this case, the EU's means of sanctioning Russia are indeed limited. In essence, this reflects the EU's own lack of strength. As for imposing 100% tariffs on China, it is something the EU dares to think of. According to EU officials, these ideas are in the "primary stage". Moreover, the EU needs the full support of the United States for any plan to impose secondary sanctions on China and India.
For the EU, trade frictions with China will be fatal. Last year, the EU raised taxes on Chinese electric vehicles, and agricultural products sold to China were immediately investigated for anti-dumping. These commodities are not valuable, but they all relate to the votes of politicians from various countries. Once they lose their voter support, they cannot say that they will issue any tough policies against China.

The EU's toughness towards China is also superficial skill
But unfortunately, the United States cannot provide much support, because there has been a round of tariff war between China and the United States, and the final result is that the United States is forced to surrender. In other words, Europe and the United States are in a stalemate stage on the issue of secondary sanctions. Everyone wants to give China a look, but no one dares to shoot the first shot.
A group of mice had a meeting
When we were young, we watched cartoons. There was a scene where a group of mice had a meeting and studied who would tie bells for cats. The beauty of the West and the civilized world was so beautiful that it was so depressing. We don’t know why Europe has been saying that it is still unable to get rid of its energy dependence on Russia for several years. The United States said how fragile China’s economy is, and China’s economy is not going to collapse.

Trump lives in his dreams
Or do these European and American countries live completely in dreams and make policies based on their own imagination? In contrast, our response is very simple. Regardless of the winds in the east, west, south and north, developing ourselves is the most important thing. Only with our own army can we have security, and our own industrial system can we not be choked. Time will eventually prove that China is on the right side of history, and the Western civilized world should pay the price for their atrocities that plunder the world.
