"Why should it be light green and dark red? It is the first among the flowers." This is the eternal masterpiece left by the poet Li Qingzhao when he admires the fragrance of osmanthus in the golden autumn season. Recently, two ancient Han osmanthus trees of more than 1,700 years in the Wuhou Tomb Courtyard of Mian County were blooming together, and the trees were filled with mist and scented, becoming an intoxicating scenery after autumn.

"Don't envy the three spring peaches and plums, the osmanthus flowers bloom in full bloom to autumn." Every August, these two ancient Chinese osmanthus trees guarding the west end of Zhuge Liang's tomb bloom in competition. Their orange and yellow flowers and rich fragrance float around the fields, making people feel relaxed and happy, as if they can cleanse the dust. Therefore, there is also a saying that "the fragrance of plants and trees in the ten miles of Dingjun is in the fragrance of the grass and trees."

According to the "Zhongwuhou Temple Tombstone", this osmanthus was planted when the temple was built in the first year of Yanxing (263 AD), which symbolized Zhuge Liang's spirit of "spoken and loyal heart to support the Yan Han". Today, they grow on the west side of the tomb, with lush branches and leaves, providing Zhuge Liang with thick shade. These two elixirs are like Zhuge Liang protecting Shu Han when he was alive, silently guarding Zhuge Liang in the long river of time, and are affectionately called "Two Oranges of Tomb Guarding".

Some people say that the ancients planted osmanthus trees beside the tomb, which meant that Zhuge Liang "has a loyal and loyal heart to support the Han Dynasty, and his blood to worship the new for thousands of years, his noble style and noble character are at the same level as the sky, and his remains of Shu's bones are fragrant for thousands of years." For thousands of years, two Han osmanthus trees have silently protected the embodiment of the wisdom of the Chinese nation, and also embodies people's deep nostalgia for Zhuge Liang, the Prime Minister of Shu Han who is smart, wise, loyal to the emperor and loving the people.
