The Aotai Line in the depths of the Qinling Mountains swallowed another life. A pair of male and female hikers ventured across this "Chinese Dragon Ridge" and finally waited for the ending of one life and one death. The rescue team fought for six days and five nights, snatching a life from the god of death, but was unable to save another lost soul.

At noon on September 3, a rescue team in Shaanxi received an emergency distress signal. The team members traveled starry night and took a cable car to the Taibai Mountain area at an altitude of 3,550 meters. After searching all night, a tent was found in the wilderness in the early morning of the 4th, with a man and a woman lying dying inside. The woman still has aura, but the man is too busy to turn things around. The rescuers first placed the woman in the forestry observation house. After two days and two nights of trouble, they finally moved her down the mountain safely. The entire rescue process was full of dangers, and the mountain torrents caused by continuous heavy rain once trapped many team members in danger. It was not until noon on September 8 that all the people returned safely.
This Aotai Line, known as "walking on the Dragon Ridge of China", traverses between Aoshan and Taibai Mountain, and travels through the unmanned land throughout the journey. The water source here is scarce and the supply is cut off, which is a veritable forbidden zone for life. The official has already clearly prohibited crossings, and there are management stations at all mountain passes, so any act of entering without permission is illegal. But there are always people who are lucky enough to take risks.
Data shows that between 2012 and 2017, 46 hikers have disappeared or died. After the ban was promulgated in 2018, illegal travel has not yet been eliminated. Behind these shocking numbers is the broken families. There is only one life, so why use death to prove courage? The majesty of nature cannot be provoked, and the first lesson of outdoor sports is to respect life.
