Table tennis WTT Macau Championship is in full swing. On the evening of September 11, Beijing time, the main player of the national table tennis team Wang Chuqin made another appearance and competed with Danish athlete Grote. As a result, Wang Chuqin made a surprise 3-1 reversal in this battle, thus becoming the first Chinese athlete to advance to the top 8 singles: At this point, the national table tennis team ended all duels on the third match day, including Chen Yuanyu, Xue Fei and Chen Yi winning the first appearance and being shortlisted for the top 16. Wang Yidi was out in the second round and Wang Chuqin successfully passed the score. For more details, please see below.

Wang Chuqin is the core figure of the men's national table tennis team in this competition. Although he is not ranked first (2nd), he has won four international singles championships this year, including the Doha World Table Tennis Championship, which is the heaviest. However, he lost to Japanese player Tomokazu Kazuma in the WTT Yokohama Championship in August, and then missed the WTT Swedish Grand Slam until he debuted in the WTT Macau Championship again in September.
Compared with Wang Chuqin, Grote is inferior in terms of both his grade and ranking (24th). Although he has had a highlight moment of defeating Lin Gaoyuan, it is generally believed that it is difficult for him to create too many threats to Wang Chuqin, who is the main level of the national table tennis team.

After the start of the game, the two sides played very fiercely in the first game. Grott took the lead first to get the lead, but was quickly tied and overtaken by his opponent, but soon opened up a gap of about 4 points. At the critical moment, Wang Chuqin counterattacked and saved 1 game point but was unable to turn the situation around, and then lost 7-11 and missed the lead.
Grott gained a lead in the first stage of the second game, and the attacks on both lines continued to break through the defense of the national table tennis player. Wang Chuqin quickly fell behind by 5 points 1-6, and then chased to 4-6 to force the Denmark to use the timeout opportunity. After returning to the field, Grote scored another point and then lost consecutively and was tied at 7. Then he lost another 4 points and was defeated by Wang Chuqin 11-7. Both sides returned to the same starting line.

Wang Chuqin's morale increased greatly in the third game. He continued to suppress Grote from the lead 6-2, and the opponent showed a relatively obvious service situation. He quickly made consecutive mistakes and showed a conservative mentality. Wang Chuqin seized the opportunity to get 4 innings and did not give the opponent a chance to turn the tables. He finally overtook Grote 11-6, just one step away from the victory.
Grott showed a collapse trend in the fourth game, and lost 7 points, and was defeated like a mountain. Wang Chuqin seized the opportunity and continued to attack and finally secured the victory 11-2, thus eliminating his opponent 3-1 with a big score, getting the first singles quarterfinals for the Chinese team.

As mentioned above, the national table tennis team achieved a record of 4 wins and 1 loss on September 11. Chen Yuanyu, Xue Fei and Chen Yi finished their debut, narrowly defeating Egyptian player Assal 3-2, sweeping the Japanese table tennis player Zhang Benzhihe 3-0, and reversing South Korea's main player Jin Naying 3-1; Wang Yidi failed in the 1/8 final and lost to Puerto Rican star Diaz 2-3, while Wang Chuqin reversed Denmark's Grote 3-1.
The rest of the 1/8 finals will end on September 12. The eight national table tennis players will continue to face the test of foreign war. We hope that everyone can defeat all the strong enemies and get promoted: Come on, everyone!
