In the watermelon shed, the round fruits seem to be waving to tourists; in the melon field, the golden and round melon exudes an attractive sweet fragrance; in the chili shed, the green seedlings are growing vigorously. Tourists who arrived at the farm early in the morning walked towards the picking area with baskets, and many of them brought children to the game. The farm manager Jiang Jiedong enthusiastically introduced the crops in the field to the tourists in detail and demonstrated how to select ripe watermelons. The children were particularly excited. They squatted among the ridges of the fields, carefully fumbled out the fruits hidden under the leaves, and cheered every time they found them. In addition to the picking experience, Kaisen Farm has also built a leisure area, a barbecue area and a parent-child play area.
Hunan Kaisen Agricultural Company was established in November 2021 and covers an area of more than 200 mu. At present, the company has become a four-star rural tourism district point, a four-star leisure agricultural manor in Hunan Province and a labor education practice base for primary and secondary schools in Hengyang. The company currently has 10,000 square meters of steel structure greenhouses and 3,000 square meters of farm catering experience area.
Kaisen Farm has planted 150 acres of watermelon, 20 acres of cucumbers, peppers and melons this year. Jiang Jiedong, who is full of energy, said hopefully: "The next step is to plant strawberries and wintering vegetables in the greenhouse, and prepare to plant more than 100 acres of rape flowers. Next spring, everyone is welcome to visit Kaisen Farm to experience picking strawberries and vegetables, and check in the rape field."
