Ecological hiking practice environmental protection, national fitness to protect the green mountains
On the morning of September 10, a Y503 "Green Qinling Environmental Protection Tour" theme train loaded with more than 700 tourists set off from Xi'an Station and headed towards the depths of the Qinling Mountains. This train was launched by China Railway Xi'an Bureau Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Xi'an Railway Bureau) and the Shaanxi Provincial Gymnastics Association National Athletics Dance Committee. It is the first tourist train in Shaanxi with the theme of "public welfare and environmental protection". It aims to interpret the ecological concept of "green water and green mountains are gold and silver mountains" with the practice of "hiking and practicing environmental protection, fitness and protecting green mountains".
Public welfare first: "Environmental Action" on Hiking
While the train is driving, the public welfare atmosphere has heated up in advance. The staff explained the importance of ecological protection of the Qinling Mountains through the radio, from the ecological function of the Qinling Mountains as the "central water tower" to the current protection status of rare animals and plants; tourists also took the initiative to share daily environmental protection knowledge - "Don't throw away used batteries" and "bags for buying vegetables are more environmentally friendly". The originally slightly monotonous journey time has become lively due to these interesting interactions. After arriving at Qinling Station and visiting the railway cultural exhibition area, the core public welfare hiking journey officially started. Tourists walked along the country road and looked up and saw the rolling Qinling Mountains. The green forests and the azure sky complemented each other. Instead of just enjoying the beautiful scenery, everyone was holding an environmentally friendly bag and bent down to pick up the garbage such as paper scraps, plastic bottles and other garbage that fell on the roadside. "In the past, I came to Qinling to 'see the scenery', and this time I was 'protecting the scenery', which felt more meaningful." Ms. Wang, a 58-year-old tourist, sighed while picking up garbage, "Environmental protection is not a slogan, it is just a small thing I picked up at will." This practice of "a small step in environmental protection, a big step in ecology" is the most vivid footnote of the "Green Qinling Environmental Protection Tour".
Concert guarantee: the whole process of warming services for the elderly
In view of the fact that the proportion of middle-aged and elderly tourists in this special train exceeds 90%, the Xi'an Railway Bureau has tailored a detailed elderly-friendly service plan, using "housekeeper-style" care to escort silver-haired tourists. A "green channel" was opened in advance at Xi'an Station and Qinling Station, and a dedicated person was arranged to accompany him throughout the journey to help elderly tourists quickly complete the process of entering the station, checking tickets, and taking buses, avoiding the inconvenience of waiting for a long time.
The service in the car is also considerate. Not only are it equipped with chess and checkers and other chess and card entertainment facilities for tourists to enjoy their travels; it also specially prepared emergency medicine boxes, which are equipped with antihypertensive drugs, motion sickness drugs, band-aids and other basic medical supplies; the flight attendant also "diligent eyes, diligent mouth, and diligent hands" throughout the journey - when he saw the elderly tourists getting up, he took the initiative to come forward to support him; when he found that the luggage rack was too high, he immediately helped him place it; before arriving at the station, he reminded him in advance, "get off the car slowly, pay attention to the steps." Integration of culture and tourism: Touch history and get close to nature
The first station of the special train, Qinling Station, is the throat node of the Baocheng Railway. The Baocheng Railway series cultural and museum venues outside the station reproduce the spirit of railway builders' "not afraid of difficulties and struggle bravely" through old photos and old objects; the "1314-meter altitude" check-in point in the station attracted many tourists to take photos here, and the interesting landmark design impressed the tourists.
After the hiking, a national fitness feast was staged simultaneously. The original Shaanxi exercise dance "Chong Chong Chong" was melodious, and hundreds of colorful dragons swelled and leaped, forming a dynamic picture with green mountains and clear waters. Afterwards, tourists went to Lingnan Park, which is located in the subtropical and warm temperate climate boundary of the Qinling Mountains. More than 400 kinds of wild Chinese herbs such as Bupleurum and Eucommia ulmoides grow here. Various birds such as ring-necked pheasants and red-bellied pheasants live and reproduce here, and everyone immersively experiences the beauty of nature.
After the trip that day, every tourist who completed the charity hike won an "Environmental Planting" medal. The medal carries the seeds that can be planted in thoughtfully, meaning "the sowing and inheritance of ecological civilization concepts." This "Green Qinling Environmental Protection Tour" not only allowed tourists to gain the Qinling scenery and railway culture, but also sowed the seeds of ecological protection in their hearts.
