
On September 10, the reporter learned from China National Offshore Oil Corporation thatmy country's first offshore carbon dioxide sequestration demonstration project - Enping 15-1 Oilfield carbon sequestration project, with a cumulative sequestration of more than 100 million cubic meters of carbon dioxide.Reducing carbon emissions is equivalent to planting 2.2 million trees, marking that my country's offshore carbon dioxide sequestration technology, equipment and engineering capabilities have matured.
China National Offshore Oil Corporation took four years of research and took the lead in promoting the commissioning of the first offshore CCS (carbon dioxide capture and storage) project in this oil field, with an annual carbon dioxide sequestration of more than 100,000 tons. In May this year, my country's first offshore CCUS (carbon dioxide capture, utilization and storage) project was put into use on the oil field platform, realizing the full chain upgrade of offshore CCUS equipment, technology and engineering, and creating a new model of marine energy recycling that "carbon-fighting oil and oil-solidating carbon". In the next 10 years, the oil field will inject more than 1 million tons of carbon dioxide, driving the crude oil production to increase by 200,000 tons.
