Martial confirms his new owner and moves to the Mexican League
French striker Anthony Martial has confirmed his new destination and will leave Greek team AEK Athens for the Mexican Football League One.
According to well-known transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Mexican giant Monterrey has reached an agreement with AEK Athens to officially sign the French international. The specific details of the contract between the two parties have not been announced yet.

Ahead of this, AEK Athens tried to sell or terminate Martial before the summer transfer window closed and contacted at least six clubs. Now, the 1995-born striker will start a new chapter in his career and fight alongside former European football stars such as Sergio Ramos and Sergio Canales.
Last season, Martial made 23 appearances for AEK Athens, contributing 9 goals and 2 assists, helping the team win fourth place in the Greek Super League and successfully qualify for the European Union. However, after the start of the season, he was left out of the roster for six consecutive games, heralding his future in Greece is already in trouble.
Martial left the team freely in the summer of 2024 after expiring with Manchester United. At the peak of the 2019/20 season, he scored 23 goals in various competitions for the "Red Devils", showing excellent shooting skills, technical skills and flexible running positions, both capable of being the center and moving on the wing.
However, the 30-year-old striker has never been able to maintain a stable competitive state and good physical fitness and has failed to truly grow into a world-class striker. In his last season at Manchester United, he was plagued by injuries, played in only 13 games, scored 2 goals, and finally left Old Trafford in disgrace.
This time he switched to the Mexican League, Martial may have the opportunity to prove himself again.
