Currently, the 2025 International Federation of Sci-Fi World Cup (Ningbo Station) is held in the shooting hall of Ningbo Olympic Sports Center.
On September 11, Luciano Rossi, president of the International Shooting Federation, who made a special trip to Ningbo, said in an interview with reporters: "I express my sincere gratitude to all parties in Ningbo who participated in the organization of this event. It is everyone's efforts to make the event go so smoothly. I have been to Ningbo for a few days and I feel that this city is very great. The people here are very enthusiastic. I hope more events will be held here in the future."
Shooting sports have a long history. Since the first Modern Olympic Games in 1896, shooting has been a formal competition event. Except in 1904 and 1928, the shooting event was unveiled at every Summer Olympics.
Shooting has always been one of the advantages of Chinese sports, especially Chinese shooting players have left many classic moments on the Olympic stage. The Chinese shooting team won a total of 31 gold medals in Olympic competitions since its first Olympic Games in 1984 to the Paris Olympics last year.
Luciano Rossi said that China has achieved remarkable results in the development of shooting sports, and is an example in many aspects such as training of shooting sports talents and building facilities.
"Especially, shooting sports are worth learning from in the promotion of young people." He believes that the style and professional qualities shown by young Chinese athletes have brought greater influence and attention to this sport. "I hope more countries will also increase their investment, so that more young people will like shooting, and further promote the development of shooting sports on a global scale."

As the times change, shooting sports have gradually integrated tradition and modernity, and the rules and forms of competition are constantly changing.
In order to enhance the viewing of the game, the International Federation of Science and Technology has made many changes in recent years. For example, the game introduced a mixed team event, and in the final stage, a single-shot "comparison of size" method is adopted. Each PK round with the highest number of PK rounds will be 2 points, the lower one will not be points, the flat round will be 1 point, and the first 16 points will be won, which has increased the suspense of the game sharply. In addition, the International Federation of Fire has also increased the exposure of shooting events on social media, showing more vivid stories of athletes in videos and other forms.
E-sports is in the limelight at the moment, especially popular among young people. So, has the IFLA considered combining traditional shooting sports with esports?
In response to this, Luciano Rossi said: "This is a topic that may be realized in the future. While we are inheriting traditional shooting sports, we are also discussing the possibilities in this regard with some other organizations. Some international organizations have also begun to make relevant attempts. I think there will be greater breakthroughs in this regard in the future."
