On the afternoon of September 9, the 2025 Jinnan District National Science Popularization Month home event was officially launched in Jiawo World.
The recitation "Continue the Cultural Torch and Appreciate the New Light" brought by the "Li Run Xintian" propaganda team in Gegu Town kicked off the event. At the launching ceremony, Jinnan District officially released the "Jinnan District Popular Science Map". The map was carefully created by the District Science and Technology Association, District Science and Technology Bureau, and District Culture and Tourism Bureau. It integrates the resources of the district's high-quality science popularization position and can provide the public with "one-stop" science popularization navigation services, marking the further integration and optimization of science popularization resources in the district and the initial completion of the popular science service circle for the convenience of the people. The District Health Commission brought a popular science program "It's the rampant flu season again, why do you have to know each other when you meet each other?" to popularize health knowledge in vivid forms.

The event site also awarded the outstanding organizational units, outstanding activities of the 2024 National Popular Science Day event, and the winners of popular science essays sponsored by the District Meteorological Bureau and the District Ecological Environment Bureau, commending their outstanding contributions to popular science work. Afterwards, the participants visited the Jiawo Popular Science Base in different routes to experience the deep integration of modern agricultural science and popular science education.

September this year is the first national science popularization month. The science popularization month is themed "Technology Changes Life, Innovation Wins the Future". It aims to thoroughly implement the "Science and Technology Popularization Law of the People's Republic of China", publicize scientific and technological achievements, promote the scientific spirit, and promote the formation of a social atmosphere of loving the Party, patriotism and advocating innovation. During the popular science month, Jinnan District will continue to promote various forms of popular science activities to further improve the scientific and cultural quality of the whole people, and create a social atmosphere that advocates innovation and loves science.
It is understood that Jinnan District has always regarded popular science work as an important support for high-quality development, and actively built a comprehensive science popularization work system of "all-field action, all-region coverage, all-media communication, and participation and sharing of the whole people". At present, there are nearly 10,000 popular science volunteers in the district, active in communities, schools, fields and cloud networks, and various popular science activities have penetrated into the daily lives of the people.
