On September 12, the 2025 China Cultural Tourism Industry Expo was grandly opened at the Wuhan International Expo Center. Shandong has participated in the exhibition with 16 cities and 63 companies, bringing more than 2,000 selected exhibits. Through the Shandong booth of nearly 300 square meters, Shandong's profound cultural heritage and rich tourism resources are displayed in all aspects, bringing a unique cultural and tourism feast to the people of Jiangcheng.

In the booth, the live performance of intangible cultural heritage inheritors became the biggest highlight. Visitors can experience Liu's smart skills in turning flowers with their own hands, witness the ever-changing charm of layers of thin paper blooming at their fingertips; challenge the ancient Luban locks to understand the wisdom of the ancients' "natural craftsmanship" between the interweaving of mortise and tenon; follow the carving knife of Tai'an peach wood carving masters to witness the magical process of ordinary peach wood turning into exquisite works of art; you can also use rubbing to pat the ink paper with light marks in Jining rubbing experience, so that the ink paper can leave a mark of inheritance.




Multiple experiences: Immersive experience of Qilu's charm
The "Qilu Impression" check-in area, Taishan, Confucius, Baotu Spring and other Shandong iconic elements are vividly seen, and they are matched with the "Passion Shandong" graffiti wall and the "Hospitality Shandong Qilu No. 1" themed carriage, becoming a popular landmark for audiences to take photos; the "Violence Stage" performs special performances such as electronic music teams and folk intangible cultural heritage every day, showing the diverse charm of Qilu culture; the "Luyun New Gift" cultural and creative area gathers the fine cultural and creative industries of 16 cities, from the Jining cartoon master to Zibo glazed jewelry, demonstrating the innovative vitality of "Hospitality Shandong"; the "One City, One Rhyme" urban exhibition area displays regional specialty food and ace cultural and tourism resources such as Jinan Pingyin roses and Qingdao shell carvings, unlocking Shandong flavor in one-stop.
It is worth mentioning that this Shandong booth also innovatively launched the "Travel Station", setting up the Qingdao Beer Tasting Area, Qishan Coffee Special Adjustment Station and AI newspaper printer. Visitors can not only taste the "special supply of origin" Qingdao beer directly sent to the cold chain that day, but also taste the cultural and tourism afternoon tea inspired by cultural relics, Chaoran Building and Mount Tai, generate "newspaper" headlines with personal image, leaving exclusive memories of Shandong booths.




Going out of the booth: Three major recommendations ignite the enthusiasm for going to Shandong
On the opening day, Jinan, Qingdao and Heze represented the provincial capital economic circle, Jiaodong economic circle and Shandong economic circle on the main stage of the Wuhan International Expo Center, promoting the cultural and tourism resources of Shandong's three major economic circles, showing the differentiated charm of "one region, one characteristic". It is reported that during the expo, the Shandong cultural and tourism promotion team will also go to China University of Geosciences (Nanwangshan North District) and Wuhan Vientiane City to carry out flash activities and business district promotion activities respectively.
