On September 11, the "Quyi Performing Artist Mr. Bo Jidong's Apprentice Acceptance Ceremony" hosted by Taiyuan Quyi Artists Association and hosted by Shanxi Haoyuelai Quyi Rap Theater was held at Haoyuelai Theater, Zhongzheng Tian Street, Taiyuan City, adding a touch of harvest to the golden autumn season.

The ceremony that day, famous folk art artists gathered and big names in the art world gathered together to witness this moment of inheritance. This is not only the solemn conclusion of the friendship between master and apprentice in the folk art world, but also a vivid practice of the inheritance and development of Shanxi folk art, but also injecting new vitality into the inheritance and development of Shanxi culture and art. Chen Yanping, Chairman of the Shanxi Performing Industry Association, Cui Jinsheng, Vice Chairman of the Shanxi Chinese Culture Promotion Association, and other guests visited the scene to participate in this grand art event of "singing songs and passing on the torch". The ceremony was hosted by Tian Yongguo, executive vice chairman of the Shanxi Old Artists Association and secretary-general of the Shanxi Drama Research Association.

Mr. Bo Jidong comes from a family of folk arts and has a profound artistic background. He learned folk art performances with his father since he was a child. Later, he became a disciple of Shandong Kuaishu performing artist Li Hongmin and Shulaibao performing artist Wang Xiuchun. He has been deeply engaged in the field of folk art for many years and has excellent artistic attainments. During his artistic career, Mr. Bo Jidong won many awards in the national folk art exhibitions in the army and local areas: after joining the army as a military folk art actor in 1977, he won the first prize in the military performance of Shandong Kuaishu "Shouqiao"; in 2004, he won the first prize in the national Shandong Kuaishu Competition; he also won the gardener award in the National Children's Art Competition, and the Gardener Award in the Third International Exhibition of Art New Youth Talents, contributing to the cultivation of folk art talents. In addition, he has crossed the film and television field, and has played roles in more than 40 TV series, winning wide recognition in the industry for his versatile performance.


At this apprenticeship ceremony, 10 people including Bai Chunsheng, Yan Julan, Lu Aixia, Zhao Lilin, Han Erping, Liu Xiaomei, Li Jinliang, Wu Fenyu, Han Gang, Zhao Bingyu officially became disciples. The ceremony follows the ancient etiquette, solemn and warm, and there is no shortage of "leading the teacher, protecting the teacher, and acting on behalf of the teacher". The three famous masters, Xing Jianguo, Baoshi Chang Laichang, and Yin Haipeng, jointly proved that Mr. Bo Jidong liked to accept ten disciples to inherit the arts and continue his skills. The instructor Xing Jianguo first delivered a speech, highly affirming Bo Jidong's contribution to Shanxi folk art, pointing out the profound meaning of the tradition of accepting apprentices to the inheritance of the industry; the guardian and the agents sent messages one after another, encouraging the master and apprentice to adhere to the artistic spirit and inherit in an orderly manner.

Chen Yanping, chairman of the Shanxi Performing Industry Association, praised the Taiyuan Quyi industry's three consecutive grand ceremony, and looked forward to Shanxi Quyi taking advantage of this east wind to continue to innovate and flourish.

Cui Jinsheng, vice chairman of Shanxi Chinese Culture Promotion Association, also delivered a congratulatory speech, fully affirming the vivid power injected into local culture by "master-leader".

Xing Jianguo, chairman of Taiyuan Quyi Artists Association, said on behalf of the organizer that the ceremony aims to build a platform for inheriting folk art, gather strength in the folk art community, promote the innovative development of Shanxi Quyi art in the new era, and make traditional folk art culture more vital.


At the ceremony, Mr. Bo Jidong presented certificates and commemorative gifts to his disciples, sending them to respect their teachers, study their skills carefully, inherit and innovate, and contribute to the development of folk art culture.

At the scene, Bo Jidong's friends in the folk art world also gave each other calligraphy, landscape paintings, and inscriptions to add cultural charm to the inheritance ceremony; in a particularly touching scene, Bo Jidong's mentor and 80-year-old Mr. Wang Xiuchun, as the "master", came to the scene in person and went on stage to "be a talented person, work hard in the art world, and be a pillar of the art!" Encourage the younger generation to strive for excellence and bravely climb the top of the art. Through words and deeds, the temperature and thickness of folk artists are fully demonstrated.
