Recently, the former director of the laboratory department of a hospital in a county in Hubei led to two listed companies due to bribery.
According to media reports, the People's Court of Gong'an County, Jingzhou City, Hubei Province sentenced Dong Hua to 10 years in prison for accepting bribes and sentenced him to 6 months in detention for money laundering. He was punished with both crimes and was sentenced to 10 years in prison and a fine of 1 million yuan.
Dong Hua, former director of the laboratory department of the People's Hospital of Public Security County, Jingzhou City, Hubei Province, was ruled by the court that he took advantage of his position to receive bribes from five units and individuals in the procurement and introduction of medical equipment, reagents and consumables of the hospital from 2010 to 2023. Among the bribers, they include Qiao Peng, the then regional director of the A-share listed company Da'an Gene (002030.SZ), and Hu Yinguo, the actual shareholder of Wuhan Runda Shangjian Medical Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Wuhan Runda").

Response to listed companies Daan Gene and Runda Medical
From 2018 to 2019, Dong Hua, former director of the laboratory department of the People's Hospital of Public Security County, Jingzhou City, Hubei Province, borrowed two bank cards from the former nanny Guo Zhixiang, secretly deposited huge amounts of funds in cash or transfer, and held these two bank cards for a long time.
In 2023, Guo Zhixiang accidentally learned that there was so much money in the card under her name, so she reported to the bank that she lost two original cards. After applying for the card again, she withdrew the funds in the account multiple times, totaling 3.5 million yuan.
Guo Zhixiang transferred 2.6 million yuan to her husband for the 3.5 million yuan, and the latter took 810,000 yuan to buy a luxury business car. Guo Zhixiang also lent his younger brother 300,000 yuan. As for herself, she spent more than 30,000 yuan on beauty treatment. At the same time, in the Douyin live broadcast room, Guo Zhixiang also rewarded the male anchor with a large amount...
In 2024, the Public Security County Public Security Bureau believed that Guo Zhixiang "takes away" Dong Hua's huge amount of funds and was suspected of theft, and detained Guo Zhixiang. The Public Security County Procuratorate also filed a public prosecution with the court on this charge.
At the court trial stage, the People's Court of Public Security believed that Guo Zhixiang's above actions were in line with the crime of "embezzlement", and the crime of "embezzlement" was a private prosecution case, so it ruled to suspend the trial.
Dong Hua then filed a private lawsuit.
In August 2025, the Gong'an County People's Court ruled that Guo Zhixiang was convicted of embezzlement and sentenced to 3 years in prison and 5 years of probation.
In April 2024, Dong Hua was detained by the Public Security County Supervisory Commission. At the beginning of 2025, the People's Court of Gong'an County ruled that Dong Hua was sentenced to 10 years in prison and a fine of 950,000 yuan for accepting bribes; he was sentenced to 6 months of detention and a fine of 50,000 yuan for money laundering. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison and a fine of 1 million yuan.
The court found that from 2010 to 2023, Dong Hua took advantage of his position to receive bribes from five units and individuals in the process of purchasing and introducing medical equipment, reagents and consumables in the Public Security County People's Hospital.
It is worth noting that two listed companies appeared in the above case. One company is Runda Medical, and the other is Daan Gene.
According to the Daily Economic News, on September 8, a person related to Daan Gene said that the company had previously learned about the above incident. The person involved was the sales staff at the time. The company was not involved in the case and did not involve matters that need to be disclosed. The company has always adhered to legal and compliant operations, and the company's business management and business development are currently in normal and orderly manner.
Hu Yinguo, the actual shareholder of Wuhan Runda, is not on the list of shareholders of Wuhan Runda, nor is he a member of the company's executives. On September 9, relevant persons from Runda Medical said that the company has paid attention to the bribery case mentioned in media reports by the former director of the Laboratory Department of the People's Hospital of Public Security County, Jingzhou City, Hubei Province. The case determined that Hu Moumou was the briber. The company's subsidiary, Wuhan Runda, was once one of Hu's investment targets and has been operating normally.
Runda Medical's first loss in the first half of the year

Daan Gene and Runda Medical are both in vitro diagnostic (IVD) companies. With the continuous advancement of centralized procurement policies in the IVD industry, DRG (disease diagnosis-related grouping) has been implemented rapidly, policy reforms and changes such as mutual recognition of test results, and adjustment of inspection fee prices. Industry competition has intensified, inspection demand for some projects has declined, product prices have declined, and the performance of many listed companies has declined simultaneously.
Recently, Daan Gene released its 2025 semi-annual report. The company achieved operating income of 339 million yuan in the first half of the year, a year-on-year decrease of 15.44%. The net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was -182 million yuan, a significant reduction in losses compared with the loss of 399 million yuan in the same period last year. The net profit excluding non-recurring items was -265 million yuan, an increase of 47.98% year-on-year. Daan Gene said that the main reason for the decline in revenue was due to changes in industry demand and adjustments in centralized procurement prices.
Runda Medical has experienced its first interim loss since its listing. The 2025 semi-annual report showed that the company's operating income in the first half of the year was 3.47 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 16.08%; net profit attributable to shareholders was -121 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 232.14%; net profit excluding non-network was -134 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 269.39%.
In addition, the Red Star Capital Bureau noticed that at the end of May this year, Jinan Runda Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Jinan Runda") was fined 600,000 yuan for commercial bribery.
Lu Municipal Supervision Penalty No. 5 shows that during its business activities, Jinan Runda Biotechnology Co., Ltd. sold fully automatic coagulation analyzers and their auxiliary modules and equipment to the hospital at a low price, and bundled and sold related reagents and consumables, seeking more trading opportunities. This act is commercial bribery.
According to Runda Medical's 2025 semi-annual report information, Jinan Runda Biotechnology Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of Runda Medical. Tianyancha shows that the company is held by Runda Medical 70% and Yueshengda (Jinan) Investment Partnership (Limited Partnership).
